Current Engagement Opportunities

Shaping the Future of our Villages

Your Village | Your Voice

PLEASE NOTE; Village Plan public engagement drop-in sessions that had been scheduled for Killinchy ( Monday 27 January), Ballygowan (Tues), Lisbane & Lisbarnett (Wed) and Ballyhalbert (Thurs) have been rescheduled following the storm to ensure the safety of all of our residents and the staff attending. New dates for these villages are detailed below.

We want to hear from you on the proposed priorities identified for our Villages.

Ards and North Down Borough Council is embarking on a process to develop a new Village Plan for each of the villages.

The Village Plan is a non-statutory document which outlines the long-term goals, objectives, and vision for the village. The actions identified in the Village Plan help to co-ordinate development efforts, prioritise investment and ensure there is a clear vision for the future of our villages.

The process for developing the new Village Plans includes a number of key stages:

Stage 1 - Public Engagement Process to gather a diverse range of input through various methods, including public workshops, involvement of community groups and local schools, engagement at public events, on-street surveys and online surveys. This approach helped to ensure all members of the community were provided an opportunity to share their views and shape the future priorities for their village.

This is now complete, and a set of proposed priorities have been identified

Current Stage:

Stage 2 - Refine Priorities
