Shaping the Future
Next Drop-In Public Engagement Session: Wednesday 12 February 2025 4pm-6pm in Portavogie Community Centre.
An on-line survey will be available for anyone unable to attend and will go live on 12 February.
Ards and North Down Borough Council is currently developing a new Village Plan for Portavogie.
The Village Plan is a non-statutory document which outlines the long-term goals, objectives, and vision for the village. The actions identified in the Village Plan help to co-ordinate development efforts, prioritise investment and ensure there is a clear vision for the future of Portavogie.
The development of the new Village Plan consists of three key stages:
Stage 1 - Extensive Public Engagement (May 2024 to September 2024) - completed
Stage 2 - Desktop Data Analysis | Draft Priorities Consulted (October 2024 to March 2025)
Stage 3 - Launch of Village Plan 2025-2035 (April 2025)
(Timelines are subject to change)
In order to shape the Portavogie Village Plan we are keen to listen and understand the views of the residents and businesses.
The next Drop-In Public Engagement Session will be held on Wednesday 12 February 2025 4-7pm in Portavogie Community Centre. Come along and review the key themes and priorities that emerged from the previous sessions and surveys.
Previous activity:

- People were asked to complete the Online Survey by visiting Your Village | Your Voice - Ards and North Down Borough Council - Citizen Space - the survey is now closed.
- Community groups, local clubs, or organisations, or those hosting an event were asked if they would like our team to come along and discuss the Village Plan.
