Marine Safety Management System Consultation

The Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) was developed in 2000 and offers a national standard for safety within UK harbours with the aim to "improve safety for those who use or work in ports, their ships, passengers and cargoes, and the environment".

As Harbour Authority for our harbours at Groomsport, Donaghadee, Ballywalter, Ballyhalbert and Cook St Portaferry; Ards and North Down Borough Council (ANDBC) wishes to fully comply with the code. As part of our Marine Safety Management System, ANDBC have produced the suite of documents to demonstrate our commitment to compliance with the code.

A key part of this Marine Safety Management System is consultation.
