Summer Schemes

Thank you for your support of this year's scheme which is now closed and completed. Please look out for next year's Summer Scheme information in Spring 2025.

The Ards and North Down Borough Council Summer Scheme 2024 will commence on Monday 22 July 2024. The scheme will run for 2 weeks, ending Friday 2 August 2024.

Time: 10am* - 3.00pm 

*Please note, the first day of the summer scheme (22 July) will commence at 10.30am: it is for this day only and is to allow for staff orientation.

There are 48 child places available per site, P1-P3, 24 places / P4-P7, 24 places

• West Winds Community Centre, Newtownards

There are 32 child places available here - P1-P3, 16 places / P4 -P7, 16 places

The Community Development Summer Schemes are open to all Primary School Age Children who live within the Ards and North Down Borough. We welcome applications for children of all abilities, unfortunately, we cannot offer specialist one-to-one support for children with individual needs. However, where appropriate, we may make reasonable adjustments in consultation with parents/legal guardians.

Children must have completed Primary One by June 2024.
