Additional certificates

When you register a life event such as a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership, you can buy a certificate for £8.00 from the registrar at the time of registration. You cannot however return at a later date or even on the same day as the registration to buy additional certificates.

Our registrar's offices in Ards and North Down no longer sell additional birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificates at any time after registration.

If you need an additional birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate, you need to order and buy the additional certificate from the General Register Office in Belfast.
