Good Relations: Living History Programme

This autumn, the Ards and North Down Good Relations team invites you to take part in the FREE Living History Project, a 6 Week Shared History Discovery Programme

Visit places of cultural and historical significance, and discuss their influences on our society today.

  • Week 1 Wednesday 2nd October 2024 9.00am - 5.00pm Introduction - Downpatrick Gaol and Museum
  • Week 2 Wednesday 9th October 2024 9.00am - 5.30pm Siege of Derry and Free Derry Museum
  • Week 3 Wednesday 16th October 2024 9.00am - 5.00pm Joint Falls Road/Shankill Tour
  • Week 4 Wednesday 23rd October 2024 9.00am - 5.00pm Ulster Museum
  • Week 5 Wednesday 30th October 2024 9.00am - 5.00pm History of Terror Tour
  • Week 6 Wednesday 6th November 2024 9.30am - 4.30pm Evaluation - Lunch and discussion

This initiative welcomes participants from all cultural backgrounds. However, due to the areas of discussion, this programme is not considered suitable for children under 16 years of age.

Prospective participants should be aware that a certain level of mobility will be required to take part in this programme, please contact us to discuss your requirements

Those wishing to register should be available and register for the full 6-week programme. Times are subject to change.

Registration is essential by Friday 27th September 2024

A light lunch will be provided each week.
